Pore Lock Beta Terms

1. Agreement and relationship to other terms

1. These Pore Lock Beta Terms (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Pandew governing your access to and use of Pore Lock Beta and related Pandew functionality.
2. These Terms supplement the Privacy Policy and any generally applicable terms governing the Services. If these Terms conflict with a general provision solely as to Pore Lock, these Terms control to the extent permitted by law.
3. Selecting Continue constitutes your affirmative acceptance of the version displayed above. If you do not accept, do not continue into Pore Lock.

2. Pore Lock Data

“Pore Lock Data” includes the face source videos and photographs you previously supplied; face geometry, camera registration, UV maps, reflectance, albedo, normal and texture maps; visible-candidate locations, descriptors, graphs, confidence and quality evidence; apparent scale, contrast, density and microtexture measurements; renders, reports, manifests, lineage identifiers, device-independent capture metadata, corrections, feedback and other information generated from or associated with those materials.

3. Licence and authorised processing

1. You grant Pandew a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free right and licence to host, reproduce, store, secure, index, transform, annotate, analyse, combine, compare, adapt and otherwise process Pore Lock Data for the purposes set out in these Terms.
2. Those purposes include operating and supporting the Services; generating your analyses and history; detecting errors, fraud and abuse; measuring performance, safety and quality; conducting internal research and development; and training, tuning, evaluating, validating and improving current or future first-party Pandew models, algorithms, features and commercial products.
3. Pandew may exercise these rights through employees, professional advisers, contractors, cloud-infrastructure providers, affiliates and successors that are subject to contractual, professional or legal duties appropriate to their role. This licence permits the creation and commercialisation of models, parameters, methods, software, benchmarks and aggregate insights developed through the authorised processing, without payment or attribution to you.
4. You retain whatever rights you possess in photographs you supplied. Except for those rights, Pandew and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, generated software, model improvements, report designs and technology. No ownership interest in a model or improvement is granted to you by virtue of your data having contributed to its development.

4. Material limitations

Pandew will not sell raw face captures or candidate graphs as face-data products, use Pore Lock Data for cross-context behavioural advertising, use Pore Lock as face authentication or identity recognition, make Pore Lock Data available for unrelated third-party model training, or make insurance, employment, credit or similar eligibility decisions from it. Confidential infrastructure and development providers acting for Pandew are not third-party training recipients under this paragraph.

5. Beta outputs and acceptable use

1. Pore Lock detects and estimates correspondence between visible candidates. A candidate is not guaranteed to be a biological pore, and an estimated match is not a permanent identity.
2. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate or affected by lighting, focus, makeup, facial hair, motion, device characteristics and reconstruction error. Beta outputs are provided without a promise of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
3. Pore Lock provides cosmetic appearance information only. It does not diagnose, monitor, treat or prevent disease, track lesions, establish product causality or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
4. You may use Pore Lock only for yourself and must not submit another person’s face or attempt to identify, authenticate, discriminate against or make consequential decisions about any person using the feature or its outputs.

6. Storage, retention and deletion

1. User-linked Pore Lock Data is stored privately and retained while its source face history or your Account remains, subject to operational backups and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Deleting an analysis removes its user-linked candidate artifacts and manifest without deleting the source face versions. Deleting a source face version removes dependent Pore Lock analyses. Account deletion removes the live user-linked collection and terminates active processing.
3. Deletion does not require Pandew to reverse research already completed or remove the influence of data from aggregate statistics or model parameters that no longer contain a reasonably linkable or reconstructable copy of your Pore Lock Data, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Sharing and exports

Pore Lock results are private by default. Any export you initiate may leave Pandew’s control and become subject to the destination’s practices. The default share format is intended to be schematic and face-free; a face-inclusive export, if offered, requires a distinct action labelled as including your face. You are responsible for deciding where to send an export.

8. Withdrawal, changes and availability

1. You may stop future Pore Lock processing by not requesting another analysis and may delete analyses, source history or your Account as described above. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.
2. Pandew may modify, suspend or discontinue Beta functionality at any time. A materially changed agreement will receive a new version and must be accepted before a new analysis.
3. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not excluded. Questions and rights requests may be sent to support@pandew.app.
